Tickle Me Tuesday

A very dear friend in California, Susan, sent this to me and it made me instantly feel good. In fact, much of it made me laugh because I had thought of doing some of these when I first became confined at home and couldn't go anywhere. Susan and I trade emails often when we are feeling somewhat good because many of our days are full of pain. We pretty much keep each other thinking and laughing. She's my angel in many ways. Thank you, Susan, for being there.

My COVID-19 Journal
Day 1: Can I do this? Yes, I can! I've got a stockpile of food and wine to last a month.

Day 2: Opening my 8th bottle of Wine. I fear wine supplies may not last.

Day 3: Strawberries: Some have 210 seeds and some have 235 seeds. Who knew?

Day 4:  8 a.m. Doffed my Day Pajamas and Donned my Night pajamas.

Day 5: Today, I tried to make hand sanitizer. It came out as Jello shots!!

Day 6: I get to take the Garbage out. I'm so excited, I can't decide what to wear!

Day 7: Laughing way too much at my own jokes.

Day 8: Went to a new restaurant, called "The Kitchen." You have to gather all the ingredients and make your own meal. I have no clue how this place is still in business.

Day 9: I put liquor bottles in every room. Tonight I'm getting all dressed up and going Bar hopping.

Day 10: Struck up a conversation with a spider today. Seems nice. He's a web designer.

Day 11: Realizing isolation is really hard. I swear my refrigerator just said, "What the hell do you want now?"

Day 12: I realized why dogs get so excited about things that actually move outside, going for walks, or car rides. I think I just barked at a squirrel.

Day 13: If you keep a glass of wine in each hand, you can't accidentally touch your face.

Day 14: Watched birds fight over a worm. Cardinals lead the Blue Jays 3 to 1.

Day 15: Looked out the window. Who are those masked men?

Day 16: Anyone else feel like they've cooked dinner 191 times this month?

Day 17: Went to the mailbox and the cat locked me out of the house. He's giving me the paw through the front window.

Day 18: I can now assemble the Impossible All-red 6000 piece Death Knell jigsaw puzzle in 3 minutes.

Day 19: Facing a difficult entertainment choice. Work my way through every show on Netflix, again, or disassemble and reassemble my IKEA kitchen. Kitchen could be fun. I've already tossed the instructions.

It's only funny because it's true. I bought 8 bottles of vodka for my quarantine last month, which I thought was ridiculous, only to find out that no, it wasn't, and no, it wasn't nearly enough.

Those are hilarious! Thanks for sharing them with us. I could use a laugh as I've been on the phone for the last 3 hours trying to cancel a hotel reservation!

Thank you for sharing. Made me laugh. I haven't actually barked at any squirrels but have chased them out of the yard several times.
