🤨 Yesterday, a group of young missionaries roamed through my apartment complex. Most of them were the usual white shirt, black slacks and tie types. The one at my door was a strikingly handsome, 6'6" blond young man in khaki pants and a colorful sweater vest! Boy, did he look out of place! I wondered if he was an experiment of some kind.
As he began his spiel, I told him he had knocked on the door of a non-believer so his likelihood of success was zero! The smile left his face and he said "that's so sad." I chuckled and told him "not at all. This is a very happy household and I delight in the randomness of the universe!"
I wished him well on his journey and, as I closed the door, I got the usual twinge of sadness that I won't be around to hear the debrief..."how do I respond to someone who admits they are a non-believing evil heathen, but seems to love such a wrong choice?" 🤭

Lucretius was a smart guy. We should listen to him more.
I would say "depths of evil" not heights. Otherwise, I agree 110%!

And especially when they can tie greed onto it, as well...
And yet the "driven" don't see it that way.
