Patriarchal religions are always tough on women. They usually start off brutal and then moderate to tough so women mistakenly think progress has been made.
Religions in general place females as a second class person and degrade women with their biblical stories. fundamentalist Christians would love to establish a biblical Christian sharia law in the US: punish women who have abortions, restrict women's sexuality... the Ol'Buzzard
now you know why I'm a pagan and worship a goddess...she says us women don't have to do jackshit if we don't want to..and can do anything that we want too.
