my one and only 1st cousin is very religious and his church plays a big part in his life. my transition away from religion included a stop at Judaism and when he learned that I started getting religious tracts in the mail about the lake of fire! you know the one that supposedly loving god send unbelievers too no matter how good and just a life they have lived. I finally had to ask him to stop and to his credit, he did.
Amen to that, so to speak. I was brought up in a fundamentalist christian home and it taught me to keep my mouth shut, not ask questions, fear people bigger than me and live in fear of being burned to death constantly if I said the word "shit".
Good one!
