You would think after so many CENTURIES of "intellectual enlightenment", that the human species would know better.
I look at religion in the same light as I would a carnival side-show; smells and bells, pomp, ceremony, perhaps some touching music, but... spiritual? No. Never found "God" or divinity in any of it; just hokum. It's fun to attend once in a GREAT while, but I get more satisfaction and a sense of centering in communing with my cats.
