It's Rant Friday

I'm back for more punishment my dear minions. So much has happened since I took my little hiatus. Dark Mother has left us again and I hope she get's the itch to come back and tickle our fancy again soon. Going to miss that crazy witch.

I went to see my doctor for pain meds and had to get another MRI cause it's been a year since the last one and he thinks I might have done something worse to my back this time instead of just popping the disc. So I have an appointment next week to see what the MRI results are. Still got no pain meds and I'm hurting like a bitch on PMS. David's best friend had a popped disc and had surgery to put in a few rods  and screws and he is still in a butt load of pain. Kinda makes me want to say no if the doc says surgery. But we will see.

Since my back got screwed up and I ended up in the ER almost 3 weekends ago, David won't let me do a damned thing and that includes house work. It pisses me off cause all he does is rant and bitch like an old lady namely my mother if I do anything around here. Shit, I asked him to get me some potting soil so I could repot some plants and flowers and he made me watch him do it while I had to tell him how. Then he get's all Farmer Ted on me and goes out and buys four tomato plants, puts them into bigger pots and won't let me water them.

Last Sunday was Easter as usual and all the Christians in town went to church. David and I were outside talking about how he wanted to tear up the other side of the yard and put down some grass and flowers. Our neighbors came home and said Happy Easter to which I replied Happy Ostara. She looked at me funny and asked what that was. David hurried me into the house before I could say anything. I know she will ask what it was that I said in due time. And then I will explain. She is very Christian but she has an open mind. David just didn't want to see anything started that day I guess. Whatever.

Small Dilemma

I have a small dilemma my dear girlfriends. I found out that there are two very different but great software programs suited for the e-zine WE want to start. Notice the emphasis on the we part. Well Adobe has In-Design which is about $500 and a very high learning curve to it. And Microsoft has Publisher that is for much less than In-Design and a lower learning curve but it takes a lot more work to publish an e-zine with it.

Now I am all for either one of these programs because I can afford either one. I just want your input.
* Has anyone of you ever used either one of these programs?
* Which one would you choose to work with and why?
* If we take this program (Witches E-zine that is)on, I would like to keep on going with it.
* What the hell am I doing here and why am I in this hand basket?

We need to call this magazine something really cool. Something that will get the attention of all Pagans and Witches out there. That includes the younger set, teenagers, who aren't quite sure of his or her path. I want to get them away from the "All Witches are Satanist's" mind set.

And last but not least  .....  I am asking for your help. We won't get paid for this e-zine until we can get someone in charge of advertising. Hell it might just turn into a labor of love for us to just help other uninformed Pagans out there. I kinda like that idea but I know it won't float, so be it.

We will need an Editor in Chief to oversee all material that gets put into this mag. And someone with great artistic skills for artwork or I'll just try to sweet talk an artist I have in mind. I might be able to get her to donate artwork if possible. But if all else fails I'll be willing to buy the artwork from her.

Girlfriends, I really want this e-zine SOOOOOooo damned much to work. I want to get the word out that we are normal people not weirdos like most Christians portray us to be. So I am asking formally for your help if you want to give it ... for free. Notice that for free part there? Please look at the questions near the top and look into what you think might help us all get this thing started.
