Feeling OK For Now

Well, first I have to say thank you all for the Get Well wishes. Makes my heart sing. I'm feeling a bit better but I won't really know if the Facet Injections worked for at least until next week. It takes a while for this stuff to work

I had Bilateral Facet Injections meaning I had an injection on both sides of the L4-L5 of my lower back. I have an appointment on the 20th of September with my pain doctor who did them. Then we will know if I will need more injections or not.

Yesterday I was really out of it. The surgical nurses gave me something to calm my nerves and bring the pain down to a manageable level. It finally wore off about 2 am this morning. I mean to tell y'all, nurses know all the great drugs. I was seeing double and I don't even remember David driving me home, the drugs were that good.

Right now the pain in my back is minimal but they told me to not go full assed ballistic with house work or heavy lifting. Not feeling like I want to at this point in time. I just want to take it easy and wait to see what happens next month.

I'm Still Alive, Happy 4th Of July, And Blog Challenge

I did not abandon y'all. I have a reason for not blogging yesterday and being late today. Wet Dog Wednesday was already set up to automatically post so it got posted like after midnight around one something in the morning. Not sure of the exact time.

Anywho, I ended up in the ER Late Tuesday night with blinding pain in my lower back. The doctor ordered something really good for the pain, which made me sleep for a few hours. I had to undergo x-rays and then an MRI. I was in the ER for about 11 hours total. I finally got home before noon on Wednesday.

So, I have a slipped disc and three pinched nerves between L2, L3, and L4. I'm back on pain killers and I see my Orthopedic back doctor next week Friday. David has been so worried and all. I do love him so. I wish he'd just take this with a grain of salt and get over it. I hate to see him worried like this. It's not like I'm dyin.

So. I'm picking up from yesterday.

Day 3:
What was the last movie you saw in a theater?
The last time David and I went to see a movie was years ago. I'm not too sure but I think it was "X men". It was on a date night. The movie was okay but kind of boring and predictable. I love action and/or comedy movies. But this was meh.

Day 4:
If you could rid the world of anything what would it be.
If I could, it would be harmful insects. This includes biting insects like spiders (which were actually an alien slave workforce that got loose), flies, roaches, fleas, bedbugs, etc. These suckers spread disease. I hate them and they have no real use on earth. Eyuck!
