They're In Wikipedia!!??? OMG!!! It's True!!

David just sent me an email from his work. It was for a Wikipedia article. I didn't believe it at first then I went to Wikipedia and saw it for my own eyes. My step-daughter and friends are on there. YES!!! For Sleeved Blanket aka Snuggies. They are in the middle picture at a football game for Univ of Texas at Austin. This same picture was in a UT game article also.

I couldn't believe it. But there they are in their Burnt Orange Snuggies at a game in Austin. She is in the center. Her hubby went to get something to drink or eat. But these people with her are all alumni of UT. They tailgate for hours before the game. They are part of the Shotgun 21. Some are high mucky mucks in business in Austin. They all hang out and party together all the time. They know how to let down their hair that's for sure.

Mouse In The House

I need a Cat. These puppies are worthless when it comes to catching mice. I know, dogs can sniff out the occasional mouse but otherwise they are about as useful as tits on a bull.

Yesterday I was walking into the kitchen to start dinner and thought I saw a little gray thing streak across the floor from the refrigerator to the stove. I stepped back a moment cause it scared me that something else besides me was in there.

I grabbed the phone and called David (why is it that we always call the man for help) to ask where he put the mouse trap. He said he would take care of it when he got home. Great. So now I have to make dinner with a mouse running in my kitchen.

Don't even think about calling the dogs in for help. They have squirrels on their minds. Trying to save the pecan population from thieving squirrels is their main goal in life. So in between cooking this and that I was looking for the traps.      

David came home and low and behold he found what I was looking for. The trap was on the mail and key holder on the wall which we don't ever use cause everything gets thrown on the island in the kitchen. So after dinner I set the trap for the little bugger where the dogs won't get him when it snaps.

I waited patiently all evening long ,,, no snap. I checked on the trap after my shower before bed time and locking up the house and no mouse was caught. I laid awake most of the night. The light sound of the snap never came. I looked this morning, no mouse.I might be a basket case before the day is over if that mouse doesn't meet his demise.          

What the hell could he be living on?





All the food is in plastic containers. Ever since the last mouse got into the house from our renovations. I have put everything into plastic containers. Even the boxes of cake mixes are inside a container. They love me at The Container Store.

So I wait with bated breath for that little snap. Then I will laugh devilishly and say "gotcha."

Finally He Went to Work

YES!!! YES!!! YES!!
WOW!!!  That felt like the restaurant scene from "When Harry Met Sally" for a moment there.
Anywho, David went to work and I'm dancing my happy little dance here. Now I can do stuff around the house without him bugging me so much.

Now some of you are saying out there that I will miss him if he dies. But believe me when I say this, I love my sweetie very much ... it's just that he drives me bat shit crazy when he's home like this for the holidays.

The bad thing is that I'll have to endure two more whole weeks of him being off when December 20th comes up. A whole two more freaking WEEKS my minions !!! He won't be going back until next year.  Maybe I should get to the liquor store early to stock up.

How Was Your Thanksgiving...

How was Your Thanksgiving? Mine was loads of fun. Well not really. Thursday was quiet. David and I had a very nice quiet dinner. Nothing happened really, not until later that night.

I noticed my right arm had been hurting for the past few days. I had scratched it while cutting down bushes like a week ago and it healed nicely. Now it hurts like an SOB and it's all red, puffy and it looks like somebody beat my arm with a belt. I have a humongous red welt traveling down my arm to my fingers. Went to the clinic this morning and got an antibiotic. I'll be good in the next few days.

We had to take David's truck this morning to the clinic for my arm because I had a flat tire on my Honda that I know he drove at the time. So the flat is his fault not mine. Neener neener :P

Anywho, during the trip to the clinic, we got rear ended. Good thing it was David's Dodge Ram. Bad thing the guy that hit us smashed his whole front end of the Toyota that he was driving. It was at least $2000.00 damage done to the car and a few scratches to David's rear bumper. No one was badly hurt. But the guy is gonna hear it from his wify poo cause The Toyota was brand new and it was her car.

We got home and then David decided to get the tire off my car and get it fixed. Which he has just done. But he gave me hell cause my car is a rice burner and they have crazy Jacks and places to put them in the trunk... and "How the hell do you get this damned thing out of the freaking compartment in the trunk? Freaking Rice Burners!!" So he says.

I had to show him where it was, how to get it out of the trunk and where to place the Jack under the car. I'd like to show him what to do with it, but he was after all taking it to get it fixed for me.

So now he is out getting us lunch cause it is Friday and he hates to break  his usual schedule and not get lunch from Micky-D's. I only allow him this on Fridays. What can I say... Thank the Goddess he goes back to work on Monday. Until then please pray for me that I don't kill him. CAUSE HE'S DRIVING ME NUTZ!!!

Almost Thanksgiving

It's almost Thanksgiving my minions. So I am asking one last time, if you want me to snail mail you a Christmas Card this year, please send me your home address via my email. I will be getting all my cards out by the end of next week if possible.

David is off this whole week and it's going to be fun. Yes, like pulling my own teeth. You see, He is a TV fanatic and I'm not. So while I am trying to write a post here he is gushing "Oh, Oh, ya gotta see this. I hope they replay it. So that means my whole train of thought just derails.

If I ignore him then he gets all pissed at me and tells the puppies that I don't love him anymore and on and on. He drives me crazy with this.The only way to get rid of him for a bit is to get him to do yard work. Don't get me wrong, my minions. I love him to death. But when he's home all day with me,  he can drive me to drink.

I Feel Pretty, Oh So Pretty...

I feel a hell of a bit better today, even though I'm in loads of pain. I slept very well for once and I actually had a dream that I can remember for the first time in weeks. Tylenol PM worked for me. Yea!!!
Except for my elbow hurting I feel pretty damned good.

I was able, for once, to get two loads of laundry done and vacuum and mop.  I'll feel it later... I know, I know. But what the hell. I'll do what I can around the house while I can. If I pay for it later, then so be it.
