My Weekend

I'm blogging a bit late this morning because I had to go to my doctors office and have bloodwork drawn. My doctor seems to think I'm diabetic. I had to have my fasting insulin level drawn plus and iron binding today because my iron levels are up. In May, I will have to do this all before I finally see my doctor again.

Our weekend started early. David took half a day off on Friday afternoon. He wanted to get something over at Home Desperate for the hose. Now y'all know David doesn't just go to Home Desperate for one needed thing. He gets the one needed thing, plus he brings home other things he says he needed but didn't see them last time he was there. Yes, yes he does. Every single time.

Well, Friday he brought home a weed puller that saves you from having to bend over to pull weeds. Yes, it's the kind where you step in the lever at the bottom and the teeth of the weed puller gets shoved into the ground around the weed. Then it encloses around said weed and pulls it out. You just push the yellow lever in the center to make it release the weed and go pull another one. It is efficient I'll say that for it. Sort of like a catch and release system. Somehow I wonder if I should buy stock in Home Desperate. After all, in another 20 years David will own every fucking thing that they sell.

So after he pulled about 5 or 6 weeds, he came inside and sat down and watched Jerry Springer and then Maury. Trash TV as usual. I finished the laundry and went into the living room on the other side of the house where it's really nice and quiet and surfed the web.

On Saturday, he finished pulling weeds from the front lawn and came in. It was fairly warm outside. We are using our AC already and it's just spring. I was baking and cleaning house as usual. I made a pecan pie from a recipe that I made corrections on. It turned out great! Saturday night was boring so we ate some pie and watched John Wick and Dracula Untold. Two movies I've been wanting to see. Dracula was ok. It could have been better. John Wick was an action packed fun shoot-em-up, if you like that sort of thing like I do. Sunday David washed the dog blankets and gave the dogs a bath. I was down for the count in bed most of the afternoon with the heating pad and meds. My back was giving me hell as it is right this very minute. But I was able to make dinner for David. I didn't eat. Pain does that to me. Then I took a long shower to let the hot water beat on my back, went to bed and fell asleep. I did wake up in time for The Walking Dead season finale. The show was fairly boring, but I was glad things at Arlington will change. Morgan showed up, which made me happy, and Michonne finally put her katana back on. She looked whole as if she had been missing a dear friend for so long.

My Mood:  Meh ...NO really I'm feeling pretty good this morning. That's because my pain receptors haven't woken up yet. BWAAAHAHAAHAAHAA!

In all reality the last few weeks have been like shit for me. When the moon started waning I bagan this sudden burst of energy that I just can't seem to control. I want to do so much right now. It feels great!

Wut I Did Over My Weekend:  Sounds sorta kinda like "Wut I dun did over my summer vacashun". You remember in grade school? I do. -shivers-

Anywho I got a wild hair up my ass over the weekend to have David put up some kind of trellise or lattice or something there of like it to give the front porch some privacy and have some place for the climbing roses that I bought online. Also not to mention to cut the wind from blowing so hard that I can't even sit down out there.

So we went to Home Desperate to see what we could find. We ended up helping other couples with the same problems. We told them, I mean I told them when they asked me why we were buying wood with the plastic lattice. We were just re-enforcing the flimsy lattice sides so it won't break in the wind. I think HD had quite a few sales in the plastic lattice department. No, please, don't thank me. I'll take a coupon for 75% off my next purchase though.

Wut I Did So Far Today:  Personally I don't want to tell you everything but If I must, twist my arm ... I have done absofuckinlutely nothing this morning. I did everything yesterday morning so I'm free and clear to write, bug other bloggers and gather shit to put on this here blog for your entertainment.

Anywho this morning I stumbled over to my laptop at my desk and turn it on. I sat down drank some coffee and go to my blogger writing page and begin blogging. I wrote what I wanted  so far and set it up then go see what it looks like. I see this fucking crap in place of my blog title picture.

This has really pissed me off now. I don't even deal with Photomutherfuckingbucket. So I go and see if I can fix it. Not a problem. Just reset my little Boston picture back where it should be and I'm set again.  Damned trolls. 

Oh! I have to show y'all this!!! If anyone watches "Breaking Bad", yes they are coming back with new episodes very soon. Anywho, there is a donut shop in Albuquerque New Mexico called Rebel Donuts. Well they came out with a "Breaking Bad donut" It has white icing with light blue rock candy sprinkled on top that closely resembles the "Blue Sky" crystal meth the characters on "Breaking Bad" make. I'm not saying crystal meth is okay, so please don't go around saying I'm promoting such a drug.

I have a list of shit I want to complete today but it's so pretty outside. It's in the 80's already here and hardly a breeze out there. I need to clean out my garden shed and see what I need to get rid of. Then the puppies will be going to the dog park for some running and loud barking. that's what they do every time I take them. Personally I think I'll take them over there now. Have a great day y'all.

Was It Something I Said???

Something funny happened over the weekend I wanted to tell you all about but I forgot. It must be old timers disease affecting me again. To give you an idea about what it is like living with this Bear, he watches HGTV and all the home improvement shows on TV that he can find on Saturday and Sundays like it's a new religion or something. Then it's sports or he goes to Home Desperate to look around.

Anywho, to get to the story.  I had asked David what he thought about if we put garden bricks around the trees and put four o'clocks and geraniums in there. He said great. So I went inside and he kissed me good-by and said he was going to Home Desperate to look around.

He came home about an hour later and disappeared to his shed. Moments later I smelled paint. Yeppers, that smell of spray paint. He was out spraying around the trees with neon-orange spray paint just like they do when they want to mark out where they will be digging and putting plants.. Our neighbor's hubby came home and walked over to me and asked what David was doing. Without missing a beat I said "Oh, he's marking his territory."

My neighbor laughed so hard he fell on the ground. David asked what happened. And I told him what I told our laughing neighbor. He didn't think it was funny. But word got around and now David is the butt of all the gardening jokes in the neighborhood.

I gotta watch what I say around people. My wit is just to strong for them. It's a small town so David wants me to behave from now on. I really can't make this shit up. It just happens this way.
