Reduce, Recycle, Reuse

Egg carton makes a cute little sewing basket.

An old rake that lost it's handle can make a great garden tool holder

Old wooden pallets make nice outdoor tables

Bread ties can be labeled and used to keep power cords identified

Tic Tac containers can be used to hold bobby pins

old empty drawers can be painted and stacked as a wall unit

Tin cans can be labeled and used for a child's room or arts and crafts room - just glue Velcro piece to the can and the other Velcro piece to where you want to hang it.

Paint an old tire, fill it with dirt, plant flowers and hang it up

The Hollow Crown - Ultimate Shakespeare!

OMG!! I am a Shakespeare fan from way back in high school. The Brit's have gone and made my day. They produced the ultimate Shakespearean triumph in the guise of The Hollow Crown. It takes us from Richard II to Henry V.  I for one can't wait to watch it on BBC Two.

It's Friday, Friday .... Fuck You Four Day Weekends!!

It's been that kind of morning for me. The puppies have taken to hiding in the bedroom because I'm on the rampage again. I haven't seen them in two hours.

Why??? You ask such a silly question my dears. Well it's because David, my plaything/sexy beast husband is off from work on a four, yes, yes I said FOUR long excruciating long day weekend.

That means Maury and Jerry all fucking day long today and then again on Monday.

What ever shall I do? Wait I know ... Yes!!!!

Sun Catchers Made Easy Peesy Pumpkin Squeezy

Okay I love bringing in great ideas for things in the home but this is really uber cool. I got this idea from craftster.org .  Y'all just gotta go hit your favorite plastic bead supply store and get 'em and make these. Check it out!!!

Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. gather up baking pans you don't use anymore or are going to throw away. Make sure they have flat bottoms, NO DENTS in them. Any baking dish or casserole dish or pan will do. You get your plastic beads and lay them in a thin layer on the bottom of the pan. The out come of the sun catcher depends on the colors you put in the pan. Use the clear ones for clear of coarse, mix blue and green as in the pictures, etc.

Put the pans into your oven at 400 for about 20 minutes. You can eyeball it if needed. I would suggest you turn off your smoke alarms so they don't go off. I had that problem. Turn on stove fan cause this will make a smell depending on the plastic beads and how long you keep them in to melt them. PLEASE keep watch on them and don't burn them.

Let cool briefly and the sun catchers will pop out of the pans. Let them lay on a flat surface to completely cool down and then with a drill and a small drill bit, drill a hole where you want it and string it with fishing line and hang them. Then sit back and enjoy the pretty colors.

Before you take on this project, please read this update I wrote here. This is important so please read it. I made a few changes in this recipe. Also I made a couple of sun catchers to show.

For Just a Moment

For just a moment when I saw this picture I thought, "oh you sick bastid! How could you steal my idea like that."  Then I realized there are others out there just like me. Yes, yes there are other sick bastids just like me flittering around in the world. I used to use Sticky Notes but they didn't stick to car windows very well. I find Super Glue works just fine. BWAAHAHAHAAAHAAAAHAAAA!
