it Fucking Snowed !!!

How Lucy was in the snow this morning.

Last night it snowed. Hard for about an hour. I asked the Goddess for a little snow because I was homesick for that white stuff, and DAYUM she delivered. The snow band hit around 7:15 and lasted until almost 8 p.m. I was trying to get pictures of it last night but my camera wasn't cooperating at the time. I need to get another battery for that thing. It was reported that we got officially here in Seguin, half an inch to 3 inches in some areas. The last time it snowed in Seguin was in 1985. David said they recorded 15 inches back then.

Our Esperanzas weighted down in the snow. We will have to cut them down now as we do every year when we get a freeze. But they grow back tall with beautiful yellow bell-shaped flowers in the late spring.

It was very cold out this morning and I didn't want to venture out past the driveway.

IT'S SNOWING!!!

Hey Y'all!!!! It's actually snowing here in south central Texas! In Seguin!! I fucking kid you not! The kids in the neighborhood are going fucking bonkers, squealing and screaming. I know how they feel. I never would have believed it with my own eyes but really it is snowing with some big ol' fat flakes. It's not going to stick though. Tomorrow is going to be 55 and all those kids are going to be so sad.

It's Thursday - It's Fucking cold and I love it!!!

This wet weather is wonderful! It's cold and wet outside just the way I love it Because Lucy, Spunky and I can cuddle in a nice warm bed all day. But that's not the reality. I'm really in warm fuzzy workout clothes with socks and my Monty Python "Killer Bunny" slippers. I don't wear them all the time and I never wear them outside. My "Killer Bunnies" cost too damned much to mess them up. I actually put them in one of those small space bags and use a vac to suck the air and their nasty living souls out after winter and store them in a safe.  dark.  place. 

Anywho, I am curled up on the couch in the living room with the puppies and my laptop. Sad thing is, this rain will be history by tomorrow morning. ~Sigh~ But hey the cold weather is staying. That's a good thing. The temps are where we should be after having days in the 80's and nights in the 70's. Now we are in the 60 - 50's during the day and 30's at night. David has to take my car to work because the heater is fast to heat up, his truck heater sucks. 

I've been buying cookie and bread baking items for the past three weeks. If I were to buy everything at once it would cost close to $200. I'm on a budget since I'm unable to work. David is crazy about my cookies because I make the soft chewy kind. I posted my chocolate chip recipe a few years back. So, this weekend I will be baking cookies, brownies, and cake/bread up the ying yang. Yes, I'm getting into the baking mood. I already. I found the perfect carrot cake/bread recipe. I plan to make Banana, carrot cake style, and rum cake style bread. I'm making shortbread cookies, peanut butter, chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin, oatmeal raisin chocolate chip, and sugar cookies. I'm also making chocolate chip and raisin chocolate brownie bars and blondies. All this is going to be put together, with some saved for us, and shipped to Afghanistan so troops overseas can have a taste of Christmas. It's just a little token but every little bit helps them.

Well, I have to finish a load of laundry and then I'm going to surf the web for a while. Y'all stay warm and have a magical day.

Lucy

I couldn't sleep so I went into the living room to see what the weather was doing. Lucy jumped up onto the couch and sat with me. She eventually crawled onto my lap and started loving on me. Her idea of loving on me is to sit on my lap and press her little body against me as hard as she can and then put her little face against my chest. She likes to listen to my heartbeat. Little stinker, she loves to be loved and she loves her momma.

Well, that cold front is on its way. It's hitting San Antonio at this moment. It is expected to drop the temperature into the 40's today it's now 70. We'll have rain and tomorrow if it's still raining it might turn to freezing drizzle. That's not great for my plants so I need to get my plants in before then. The weather guys are saying that this is the first of a few fronts bringing cold weather. That's a lot better than it's been. We've had nothing but warm days and nights for the past week and a half.

Spunky all tucked in

Spunky sleeps most of the day lately. In fact, he has had a fairly regular schedule of just getting up to go outside only twice a day and then staying up long enough to eat and then going back to sleep. He refuses to go out and play with Lucy and me. He has gotten into that old man stage in his life. He's always grumpy, doesn't want to play, just wants to sleep, cycle. I'm guessing his time is coming soon. He's 15 years old and that is supposed to be the life limit for this little guy. I think Lucy has approximately 9 years left for her, give or take.

This sitting is taking a toll on my back. I better resume my hot date with the heating pad. Y'all have a magical day.

Note: It's 7:38, the cold front just came through and we have freezing wind and rain right now. Where's my coffee and blankets!! I'm binge watching Hulu in bed today. Fuck this cold weather!!

Time off

I'm taking the day off. That cold front will come through here tomorrow morning at around 7 am so I'll be a bit better by then. I have a hot date with a heating pad. Have a great day y'all
