Busy Busy Busy

So sorry that I'm late posting today but I've been busy cleaning and putting away things and doing quite a bit of laundry. When you are cooped up in the hospital things at home kinda pile up. I really need to get this done today because I'm going to be busy the rest of the week.
We had a nice quiet Christmas/Yule. david and I didn't exchange gifts this year because we don't need to. We already have everything we want. We consider ourselves rich. We have each other, our health, and the puppies. We don't need anything else in life. We are blessed by the Goddess.
The seats at The Movie House
To start off, tomorrow, David and I are leaving early in the morning to double date with David's daughter and her boyfriend for lunch. We are going to The Movie House to see the Star Wars movie and have lunch. Yes! At the same time! We will be sitting in comfy recliners and eating lunch. This is so awesome!  Seats are reserved by preordering online or at the box office. But it's like having your very own movie house in your own home. C'est tres cool!

Wednesday we will be taking the puppies for a drive to just get out for the day. My usual dog post will be there. Thursday is reserved for Austin. We will be driving up to spend the day with David's daughter. Friday I intend to hide in the living room like I am today. David will most likely be watching trash TV all day Friday so I'm hiding in here until he goes back to work or the TV blows up. Which ever comes first. Right now he's watching Mad Max movies on the AMC channel all day.

Well this is a short post I really need to get busy finishing the laundry and vacuuming the house. David said he would help but he's glued to the TV. As long as he doesn't bother me I'm happy.

Everything Is Back To Normal

Hey! I'm back. YES! I feel pretty damned good too. First off I need to thank all my readers that wished me well through comments and emails. Thank you. Y'all are the best! I will be going through blogs in the next few days so don't dispair, I'll get to y'all soon.

David sprung me out of jail on Friday evening. It took so long because of the paper work and the doctor forgot to sign me out. So they had to call him back. But I am finally out. The cough is gone and I have so much energy.

Anywho, while there I took full advantage and slept my ass off. It was like a dream vacation. Just without the dream part. But I do have to say I was well rested. When I got home I was viciously attacked by the puppies. Oh, they ate me up. There is nothing left of me now. The little buggers were so glad to see their mommy again. I am so happy to be home.

David went to Luling City Market this morning to get some of his favorite BBQ sausage. He lives for that sausage. If Aaron Franklin of Franklin's BBQ up in Austin ever got a contract with City Market for their delicious sausage, Franklin's would be unstoppable. He already has the best BBQ ever, just saying. We are supposed to go up to Austin sometime this week to see my step-daughter. It's so nice spending time with her. She's been busy. I love visiting up in Austin. So much to see and do. *sigh*

I'm In The Hospital

David was nice enough to bring my laptop so I could have something to do. Yes, I'm stuck here in the hospital until this pneumonia goes away. It sucks. I have no one to talk to because I'm in a single room. I do have the TV all to myself, if I choose to watch it. But I'd rather be reading blogs and news or sleep. I'm so tired all the time.

I have an IV set up with antibiotics and I'm on a breathing machine instead of inside an oxygen tent. I think they gave me something to help me sleep because I'm so damned tired. But I'll finish this.

Yesterday, my doctor didn't like the looks of my x-ray and immediately called David to get me and take me to the hospital. I am to stay here until this clears up. He says 3 to 4 days if I'm good. I heard one person was in for 10 days! All I can think of is there goes Christmas.

David comes in and stares at me with sad eyes. It bothers me when he does that. Like, go home and take care of the puppies and yourself, man. I'm okay. It freaks me out.

The nurse just came in to change my IV bag and give me a shot of something in my ass that has made me drowsy. I'm very tired so I'm cutting this short. Peace out.

Poke Me I'm Done

I'm posting late today because David and the puppies tore up the house over the weekend. I clean every 3 days around here and do the laundry on Mondays and Fridays. But when it comes to weekends I have to clean more often because they tear up the place something awful. It's like having a rambunctious bunch of kids. I know what it will be like when David is off starting next week. OY!! Would anyone mind if I crashed at your place for 2 weeks? I'm neat and clean, and I won't make any noise. I'm a great house guest. PLEASE???? Save my life!

Anywho over the weekend, David and I went off to Cosco and got ourselves a Cosco card. My step-daughter (sweetest girl in the world) wanted a sound bar for her flat screen TV. The only place we could find it cheaper than online was at Cosco so we went and did it. We got a Cosco card. Now don't get me wrong, Cosco is nice, Sam's club is nice too, but I don't think we would be needing to buy anything like 1500 rolls of toilet. Yeah, I'm over doing it but hey, it's like that there. I saw people going numbnuts over a spiral cut ham. There were so many people that I almost lost David in there and he had ahold on my hand. He was going wild thinking we could buy this and this and this. I was saying no and no and no. He said it was like shopping with the Game Warden. No, you can't shoot that, you have no license.

But he did get the sound bar and he bought a ham. A small one that I'll be cooking and still cutting up for sandwiches for weeks to come. I could have gone to HEB and gotten one cheaper and smaller for the both of us. But hey, everything is bigger and better in Texas.

I went back to my doctor late Wednesday afternoon last week because I still had a bad cough and a bit of heaviness in the chest. He made me get another x-ray. I have ... get this ... walking fucking pneumonia. YES! He gave me another bunch of stronger antibiotics Zithromax and  Amoxicillin. Some other things like a cough syrup that tastes like chocolate covered cherries, and I have to use a breathing machine three times a day and an inhailer to help with my breathing. Fucking pneumonia! I feel better now, but my breathing is still a bit short and labored. I have to go back for another x-ray this afternoon and then see my doctor right after that. I'm hoping everthing is gone and that it's all a bad cough now. Crossing my fingers and chanting to myself.

Monday

I'm feeling a bit better. I finished my ZPac antibiotics Sunday morning. I still have my cough, but it's not a "burning my lungs and wanting to rip the bloody things out" kind of cough. It's a dry cough with lots of fatigue. Yes, I'm very tired because I can't get any sleep. So I have been spending a lot of time on the internet playing around. Not much else to do except watch TV which is boring as hell.
Sunday night was really bad. Nothing on TV to watch. The Walking Dead is in hiatus until February 14th. Then it starts back up with 8 more episodes. Strange how some shows do 8 and 8 instead of just playing reruns for the holidays and then going back to regular routine. It all sucks.
I found out over the weekend that David will be off for the Christmas/New Year shutdown at work in about 2 weeks. Yes, I have exactly 2 weeks to get my shit together to figure out a game plan to keep him busy and leave me alone while he's home. Oh, and I found out it's not just for one week that he will be home, but for 2 weeks shutdown vacation. Crap on toast. What am I going to do? There isn't enough work to keep him busy all day. I might as well save some money and run away from home in order to get peace and quiet. The man gets bored and bothers me, and if that's not all he sends the puppies into where ever I am to bother me. Oh well, it's only 2 weeks. I'll muddle through it all.

I'd Turn Back Now if I were You.

I'm giving you fair warning. If you don't want to read about my being sick, then just move on and read another blog today. I won't mind.

Well, on Tuesday, after I finished my blog post for the day, I called my doctor's office to see if he could prescribe something to stop the coughing. Nope, not gonna happen. He wanted to see me so he said that he will tell the girls out front to set up a chest x-ray at the hospital and that I was to get it done NOW, and then report to his office ASAP. I did and it wasn't good. I have a bad case of bronchitis. He gave me a 5 day Z-Pac (antibiotics)and an inhaler to help with the breathing.

I'm on my second day of my antibiotics and only used my inhaler six times now. The burning sensation in my bronchial tubes is almost gone and the coughing is down to a minimum except for at night, so I know I'm getting better.

On a brighter side, I did manage to get a prescrition to legally kill David for giving me his cold on Thanksgiving morning. The bad thing is, no one will fill it for me.

Tuesday is Monday's Ugly Step-sister

First I have to say to Pickleope from the comment yesterday, YES, yes there is orange honey. You can find it online if you can't go to Florida to buy it. There are several sites that sell it, but I buy mine at Amazon. Just make sure it says raw orange blossom on the label. I used to buy Tropic Bee, but now I use Winter Park. Winter Park tastes better.

Has anyone seen this!?! This is really sweet.
What's even better is the fact that this guy looks like the most authentic Santa in ages. Check out the story on ~

and more pictures on Facebook from the parent's FB page including news footage from what I'm guessing on the local TV station ~  https://www.facebook.com/donniesdaddydaycare/?fref=ts
My favorite dinosaur
Okay, update. My cold has officially moved down to my lungs. It hurts like hell too feels like my lungs have live hot coals when I cough. Really, it does. Everytime I cough I have such pain that I want to rip my lungs and bronchial tubes out of my body. I feel like I have the beginnings of bronchitis for sure now. Thank you very-fucking-much David. I'll make sure you get something nice like the flu for Yule/Christmas.
