Oh the poor stupid puppies with the thorns, I remember mine stepping on thorns, limping and not letting me take them out.. I almost miss dogs, almost... The vain dog killed me!
Dogs and porcupines don't mix. I had a shepherd that got into a porcupine - The quills are hollow and if you grab one with pliers and try to pull it out you end up expanding the quill embedded in the flesh - you need to cut off the tip of quill so it will deflate before pulling them out. The quills are barbed so it is a painful process. the Ol'Buzzard
