It's Tuesday - I'm Back Bitches

I'm back, just not a happy camper. I'll finally be giving up the heart monitor on Wednesday morning and 2 weeks after that I'll be seeing my cardiologist with the results. Personally, I really don't give a fuck what happens now. I'm tired of it all. I wrestled with my demons and just threw in the towel. So fuck it. I'm 64 and I don't give a shit anymore. This whole week that I took off from the blogosphere was for me to tend to some things in my life and make a few changes. I did. Now let's sit back and watch what happens.
David was off during the Christian Easter weekend. Yeah, he took 4 days off instead of the customary 2. So I had him doing shit around the house that he has neglected to do since, oh, I lost count of the months. Anywho, I really put his ass to work and boy did he regret taking off all that extra time from work. He also had both my car and his truck inspected and the stickers updated. So we're legal. I had him tear up the vegetable garden beds and weed the side gardens. He had no time to breathe except to talk to our neighbor once in a while. He now calls me Mon Commandant.

Did all y'all see Game of Thrones Sunday night? I wasn't about to miss this one. There were so many rumors and just basic bullshit going around on the internet that people were calling the shots before the battle with the dead began and you won't believe it but they are starting that shit all over again with their take on what next week will be about. The whole week long there was speculation of everything from who would sleep with whom to who would get killed first. But nobody speculated as to how bad it would be. Believe me, if you haven't seen it yet, it was bad all around. Your worst nightmare. I won't spoil the fun but I will dispel some of the wild theories that everyone kept pushing.
There was the idea that the Night King would not be at the battle for Winterfell but on his way to Westeros, wrong. There was speculation that Jon Snow would kill the Night King in battle, close but no cigar. One thing that was interesting was that the Night King wasn't destroyed by dragon fire so that my own thoughts were he might have been a Targaryen when he was turned. There was one that Arya was running through the corridors of the crypts, wrong again. She was running through the halls of Winterfell. There were quite a few spins going on that Bran Stark was really the Night King, or that Theon Greyjoy would kill Bran at the last minute, or that Jamie would kill Bran or that Bran would warg into the Night King and stop the battle and help them win the iron throne from Cersei. All wrong. So many wrong theories. I promised I wouldn't say anything about last nights episode and I didn't. You have to watch it to see what really happened. You'll be very, very surprised at the final few minutes of the show. I guarantee it.
I got this picture from a CC site.
This is as close to the real thing that I made.
One thing I did get to finally touch up was my cheesecake recipe. I finally honed it to the way I wanted. Yes, after 4 tries I finally got it right. It tastes like velvet vanilla ice cream. Very creamy, not too sweet. It's perfect and it serves up to 12 people according to how you slice it. I will publish the recipe for Thursday morning's post.
David loved it and said that it was just as good as the cheesecake at Saltgrass, which by the way is awesome. That's exactly what I was aiming for too. Sad to say I didn't take pictures of the thing while I was making it because I didn't know how it would turn out. So, I posted a Creative Commons site picture that looks exactly like it. Next time I'll be sure to post pictures. The recipe is so fucking easy too.
Well, I have shit to do and minds to twist. Y'all have a magical day.

First Responder Friday

Hi everybody. I'm going to take a few days off. I had my stress test and since then I'm throwing PVCs like it was confetti. They gave me a monitor Wednesday to save me from making another trip so I now have myself wired up for the next two weeks. This will be my last post until sometime after next week. Y'all have a great safe weekend.

Game of Thrones

This is the last season for Game of Thrones. Every season they had maybe a new open for the theme of the show. For any of you that didn't get to see the new opening credits on Game of Thrones, Here it is.

Here is a little extra gem for everyone.

OMG! It's Tuesday

Yesterday, I received a butt load of comments from five trolls about my hate for religion for which I post anti-religious memes on Sunday. This was brought on just because I blogged about an iconic architectural loss involving the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris to a terrible fire. Yeah, stupid asses don't read clearly. I made no comment on a religious icon being lost. I was making a comment on the total loss of the beautiful stained glass rose windows and the wooden structure inside the church. I made no comment that Catholics are weeping. Please! You dumb asses must have been Trump voters, you're obviously just like your president, you don't read. Illiterate buffoons.
This morning for some reason I'm stiff as hell. I exercise every day to stay limber but today my back hurts and my legs hurt too and I'm tired as shit. It's very hard to bend over to pick anything up from the floor. My whole body hurts. I must be starting another flare. Shit, that's all I need to have happen now when I have a stress test at the cardiologist office tomorrow. I'm still having episodes of heart flutters. I can't wait until all this is over but in reality, it's just beginning. Concerning my lupus, I've found a  test lab that can differentiate between fibromyalgia and Lupus also other autoimmune diseases. They use their Avise test. It might be expensive but we will see. At least they cover everything. We are willing to do this over again just to be sure. I'm also looking for a new rheumatologist. The drive all the way to San Marcos is too much for me. I need someone nearby. I need to think of my comfort because I'm not getting younger and this is getting worse.
I'm done. Y'all have a magical day.

Notre Dame is Gone

The Notre Dame Cathedral is gone. The fire which is still burning has gutted the church completely and many Catholic treasures and artwork and the iconic rose stain glass windows are all gone, lost forever.
It's been on fire since a little after noon central time and I've been watching on MSNBC since it started showing the fire. It's now 3:50pm here, 10:50pm in Paris at this time that I write. There is a bright orange glow coming from the inside of the building. A work of architectural art is now lost forever. Paris firefighters are moving back because the stone walls might fall soon. Strange how this is happening.

It's Monday

I saw this on Octoberfarm on Sunday. If you've never been there you should add this blog to your "blogs that I just gotta check out" list. Anywho, I had seen the above meme a few times and I always wanted to grab it for my folder but I was always doing something that prevented me from saving it. Well, I grabbed it and sent it to my brother on Sunday morning and he sent me this back.
for a second I thought it was going to be a bunch of drunk Scottish golfers trying to lop each others heads off with a putter yelling "there kin only be one "
Yeah, that's my brother. His mind runs on overload just like mine. I was expecting him to call me and tell me something like that above but he emailed me instead. Made me laugh because I know how his mind works.
I stayed up last night and watched the first episode for the 8th and final season of Game of Thrones. If you haven't seen it yet and you set your DVR to tape it for you then I'll refrain from telling what happened. But it was interesting. I'm guessing the first two episodes will be just catch-ups and with family and friends. I'm wondering what the spiral sign has to do with the White Walkers though. But I'll leave it at that.
I felt like shit yesterday but I willed my body to get things done. I finished three loads of laundry and vacuuming. Today I want so much to do a little more but my body is in rebellion. I did get to water my three potted lemon trees, pineapples that survived the winter, and my roses before the sun came up. It's was quite nippy out but it felt nice. Winter is still trying to keep its hold. I've been leaving my little variegated ficus out on the porch table because it does much better out in the partial sun than in the house. I think if I ever repotted the poor thing it wouldn't know what to do with itself. It's thriving when it should be dying. I have it in a tiny pot and I feed it once a year. I've noticed that the pot is root bound and I may have to cut the pot off of the roots when I find a new pot for it.
Well, I have to try to get something done around here. Y'all have a magical day.

First Responder Friday

Take it from someone who worked in the medical field,
ask for the pink one. Less chance of pain and they use
the blue or yellow for children.

Quick Note

I just got back from the cardiologist appointment. My EKG was uneventful just like I figured it would be. The fluttering was caused by stress. BUT, I have to have a stress test next week then an echocardiogram the next day after and then I have to wear a heart monitor for 2 weeks. She said all this has to be done to check for any possible trouble because of the Lupus. It has a nasty disposition of causing fluid on the heart so we are just being careful. Otherwise, I'm okay.
David found out I'm going to have to wear the heart monitor for 2 weeks so now he wants to make sure it fucks up by making me mad. I'm sure he will figure out some way to piss me off so my heart goes crazy. He's like that. He loves to tease me 24/7.
Lucy went crazy when we got home. She kept dancing and turning around like she hadn't seen us in days. I'm suspecting Spunky told her we were leaving them to go live with cats or something. She's been following me around since we got home. Right now she's sleeping on the sofa next to me. Little turd ball loves her mommy.
Well, I have a few things to do so y'all have a magical day.

OY! Yesterday!

Yesterday I had so much energy. It was like I was running on overload. I finished the laundry and cleaned house and I can't believe I did it all in one day. I never got to make the cheesecake though. Today, I'm going to pay for it in full. I'm already having trouble getting around. I completed my morning exercises to keep myself limber and active but today I just couldn't complete the 30-minute walking circuit that I have programmed into our treadmill. It moves up on an incline according to the hills that I have set in the program. But today I just couldn't stay on for the last 20 minutes. It was just too much for me. I'm on the heating pad this morning nursing sciatica in both hips. So I will be out of sorts until hopefully tomorrow. The saying goes for every one great day 2 bad days will be needed to recover. It sucks but at least I got things done and I'm happy about that. Fuck the pain.
Yesterday, Game of Thrones began their reruns on HBO. One season per day. I'm noticing that I had missed several episodes near the end of season one. 3 to be exact. I didn't see how Drogo was injured and died. Or how Jamie was captured and a few other things about the Wall episodes. I was working back then on nightshift at the lab and I missed quite a bit even in previous reruns. So, this week I will be watching the whole thing from noon to almost 10pm in order to catch up. I'm also noticing there are little bits of information that will lead into the final 8th season which starts this coming Sunday night. Season 2 starts today at noon and there are quite a few things I didn't see that I will most likely catch. It's pretty interesting because I'm paying attention to subtle clues pertaining to the White Walkers and the Night King. Interesting shit.
Well, I have to take the puppies outside and let them play for a while. Y'all have a magical day.

Oh Crap, It's Monday Again

Yesterday I woke up to a thunderstorm. Yes! The first one of the spring season. It hit just a couple of minutes after 6am. It was a wild electrical storm. Lots of lightning and we got well over 2 inches of rain that we needed because we are already getting back into drought conditions. I'm not saying that it's a bad thing yet but we are in a drought. Well, Lucy spent most of the morning clinging desperately to me. She doesn't do well in storms. When it finally ended at about 10:30 she finally got back to normal. I myself was not doing so great but when the storm passed I felt better. This morning I'm feeling much better. I do have some pain and fatigue but at least I'm not laying out on the sofa today.
I tried baking another cheesecake using another different recipe. This one went into the trash. It was so nasty and sour tasting. I don't usually go to this place for recipes but I won't be going back there. I won't mention the site because I don't want trouble. Don't worry it's not a prominent website for recipes. Today I'm going to try another cheesecake recipe and hope for the best. I'm just doing different ones because I love cheesecake and want it to be good enough for company. When I do finally get it right I'll post the recipe with pictures.
I'm doing laundry this morning. Yeah, a shit load of it. I haven't been able to do anything for almost 2 weeks and everything is piling up on me. I'm doing permanent press clothes first because they dry faster. Then sheets, then white clothes and last will be the towels. I'm on the sheets right now with the press clothes in the dryer. I rounded up all the hangers so I'm set for today. I just hope I don't peter out before I'm done.
Well, the dryer stopped so I have to get busy. Y'all have a magical day.

It's Thursday, Dambit!

I sometimes wonder if mannequins come to life after store hours much like that 1987 movie Mannequin. But no one knows except them and they aren't talking. But they are watching.

Update

The cardiologist's office called me this morning and moved up my appointment by one hour. I don't mind. I really haven't had any palpitations since my major episode. I'm thinking it was most likely an anxiety attack. I really just want to cancel but David won't let me. I have been quite depressed for a couple of months now. I wish I could shake it but it has its claws deep into me. SO, if I'm a bit snippy with you in comments on your blogs or whatever, please know this is not the real me. I'm currently fighting a war and will rejoin the real world as soon as I kill this fucking dragon.
