I don't understand the need to run out and rake up every leaf that falls in the autumn. Leaving the leaves on the ground and mowing them in in the spring seems more ecologically sound, and it feeds the lawn. Raking leaves seems like an obsession for some people - it is like watering a lawn in the desert - unnatural. the Ol' Buzzard
Darlin, I posted this because it's very satisfying to me, like an Autumn orgasm. Besides, David waits until all the leaves are off the trees and then he mows them into mulch.
🤩🤭 Ooh! Such joyful porn it is, too! I have lived in the desert Southwest for 50 years, but I still remember my Midwest youth and my Mom's frustration trying to get all the tiny bits of dead leaves out of our sweaters after we jumped into and rolled around in piles of them! CRUNCH!! 🍂🍁🍂
I sweep up fallen leaves and dump them onto my small garden patch, then I stomp around on them to help them break down faster, also to stop them getting blown around again.
