Day 31 July Blog Challenge

Day 31:

What one person from history would you most like to spend a day with? Why?

I guess it would have to be Leonardo da Vinci. I'm intrigued by him and his work. Especially his art work. I would ask who the Mona Lisa was.

I would love to see his workshop. Where did he get his ideas. I would love to see his notebooks and sketches. I would love to just pick his brain to see what ideas he had that never made it to paper. He is a very interesting person to me.

Tickle Me Tuesday

"Have you ever seen Twenty Dollars all crumpled up?"...the woman asked
her
husband who just got home from work.   "No"...said her husband.

She gave him a sexy little smile, unbuttoned the top 3 or 4 buttons of
her
blouse...and slowly  reached down into the cleavage created by a soft,
silky
push-up bra...and pulled out a crumpled Twenty Dollar bill.

He took the crumpled Twenty Dollar bill from her .....and smiled
approvingly.

"Have you ever seen Fifty Dollars all crumpled up?"... she then asked
her
husband?  "Uh...no, I haven't" ...he said (with an anxious tone in his
voice).

She gave him another sexy little smile, pulled up her skirt, and
seductively
reached into her tight, sheer panties... and pulled out a crumpled Fifty
Dollar bill.

He took the crumpled Fifty Dollar bill... and started breathing a little
quicker with anticipation..

"Now" ...she said. "Have you ever seen $30,000 Dollars all crumpled up?"

"No way" ...he said (while obviously becoming even more aroused... and
excited).

"Well, go look in the garage!"...she said

Day 30:

What is one thing you cannot do without in your kitchen.

I would have to say my knives. Really now. I can't do anything without cutting or chopping in my kitchen. I eat a lot of veggies and fruit. So it would be my knives.

Day 29 July Blog Challenge

Day 29:

What is the last thing that you bought just for yourself?

The only thing I can think of would have to be my 2004 Honda Accord. I bought a brand spanking new Honda Civic in 2004. Drove it home to El Paso (11 hour drive)Texas to see my mom and family for Thanksgiving. The newness of it all soon wore off. It just wasn't what I liked.

So I took the Civic back to the dealership and said I wasn't happy with it and wanted to try something else. I tried the CRV and instantly got bad vibes, a month later the CRV's were recalled for some nasty thing or other. My Witchy sixth sense was busy that day.

Well after looking around for an hour and not finding anything, I happened to glance over at the cars the dealership uses to shuttle people to their jobs while their cars are being fixed or whatever. There she was. My new sweet baby. I started to walk over to the 2004 Honda Accord on the side lot when the sales man said it was not for sale. "Oh but she's soooo pretty," I squeeled. They wanted to sell me something similar but I wanted this one.

I asked if they could just let me drive this Accord. They let me drive her and I was so in love with it. It had all the bells and whistles and it was quiet to drive. I was crazy in love with it. I told the sales guy if this one isn't for sale as a used car then I'll go somewhere else. Well, they gave me a great deal on her, used. I drove her off the lot after they cleaned her up and I haven't had another car since. My Accord was paid up in just two years. She still looks brand new and runs like a dream. Sometimes David lets me drive it when we go out. But it's like rock, paper, scissors to see who gets behind the wheel.

Day 28:

What has been your best vacation memory?

Actually I have never, ever had a vacation in my life. No, really! I've never had one. I wouldn't want to either. I wouldn't know what to do with myself. I would probably feel weird if I did take a vacation.

Day 27:

Do you own a smart phone? Tell us why you love it.

Glad to say that I don't own a smart phone. I have a regular LG flip phone that I keep in my purse at all times. I only use it when I'm driving or away from home. I'm old fashioned in the way of phone techno. I don't need all the bells and whistles just to have a phone.

Day 26 Post A Picture Of Something Yellow

Day 26:

Post a pictures of something yellow.

Esperanza flowers in my garden. They are also called "Yellow Trumpet" and "Yellow Star" These suckers get to be over 10 feet tall. We have them all along the southern and western  sides of our house to keep the house cool in the summer. We have to cut them down to the bare bones in the winter. This shit is like bamboo but they're so pretty to look at.

Day 25 July Blog Challenge

Day 25:

What was your favorite childhood book?

I think I would have to change that to books. I was infatuated with Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle books by Betty MacDonald. The books were started in 1947 all the way up to 2007. I was a Piggle-Wiggleholic. Every time I got the chance to go to the school library I would check out a Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle book. I kept reading those books up until I turned twelve.

I was fascinated by her cures, powders, and magic to change bad kids into good kids. Not to mention the fact that she lived in an upside down house and smelled of baked cookies all the time. She reminded me of my grandmother.

Why I Was Out For The Past Weeks

Some of you are wondering about me. Am I okay? What happened? Where did I go? Yadda, yadda, yadda. To let you all know what's been going on and why I was offline for a few days last week, here it  is.

I was doing laundry on Sunday the 7th and I think I pulled a muscle in my right side of my lower back while pulling clothes out of the washer. I had so much pain that I couldn't hang clothes and asked David to finish things for me while I took a couple of Tylenol and l went to lay down with the heating pad.

Well things got worse as time went on and I made an emergency appointment with my back doctor just to be safe. The appointment was on the 12th. He took x-rays but it was inconclusive so he had me go in for an MRI last Friday afternoon. But between that time I was to be on muscle relaxers and pain meds which whacked me out. I was so tired all the time and if I sat for too long at the computer I either fell asleep or the pain got to me. When I was lying in bed I either had a heating pad on or an ice pack on my lower back. I have an appointment to see the doctor about the MRI on the 5th of August.

Today I feel a little better. I'm able to sit at the computer a little bit longer but then right after posting I go straight back to the heat and ice treatments in bed. Right now I have an ice pack and a pillow behind me. It helps me to stay at this longer. I've quit taking the muscle relaxers because they make me goofy but that's beside the point. The point is, I can't stop being on the web. I feel the need to keep my two computers going with several windows open to keep me posted on stuff an' thangs.

So that is the gist of what has happened to my silly blogging ass. I'm sorry if y'all missed me. Goddess knows I missed y'all more. We will see what the MRI shows and why I have pain like lightening bolts shooting up and down my right leg on the 5th
.

Day 24:

Who was your childhood celebrity crush?

Mine was Bobby Sherman from the TV series "Here Come The Brides" back in 1969 - 1971. I was in my mid teens when I saw those incredible neon baby blue eyes. The rest of him wasn't bad either. Those of you that are in your late 50's will understand.

Last I heard, he retired from the California Sheriffs Dept. in 2010 and is still working with the LAPD.

Day 23 July Blog Challenge

Day 23:

What is your favorite part of the day and why?

I love the morning but I really love night time even more. David usually goes to sleep at 8 p.m. because he wakes up early in the morning around 4:30 a.m. So that leaves a night owl like me alone to read or do things like laundry or light cleaning. I like being able to sit outside without someone bothering me. It's like me time.

Day 22 July Blog Challenge

Day 22:

What are your 5 biggest pet peeves?

  • I hate when someone says something muffled behind my back aimed at me. Then when I ask what did they said, they say "nothing". That really pisses me off that they don't have the guts to say something to my face. My sister did that a lot to me. Guess that's one of the reasons I don't talk to her to this day.
  • I hate reality shows. It's all scripted and bullshit and full of stupidity.
  • Cats! They are sweet and cute, but they are nasty little beasts. Please don't think bad of me. I tolerate them but when they come into my garden and use it as their own private toilet and dig up my plants and lay all over my flowers, I can't help but hate them to a certain degree.
  • I hate when people misspell words. Computers have spell check to help you, please use it.
  • I hate when cars go by and they have their stereos blasting so loud that you can hear them coming a half mile away. They ride by slowly sometimes at 2 a.m. and they make your windows in the house rattle. I can't wait to see these idiots later in life. A whole generation of deaf dumb shits.

Day 21 July Blog Challenge

Day 21:

What are your thoughts on how the media portrays body image for young girls?

The media makes me sick! I hate the way they lie to the female population about things that are important to us. That being personal appearance, what we wear, our weight, hair styles and such.

Weight is one of the most important things in a woman's mind. I have seen women I won't call them girlfriends because this has happened to me  wield power because of weight. They look down on, make fun of, and talk behind the backs of other women that are slightly fat to grossly obese. This is all from the way media has portrayed the way women should be.

They literally shove it down the throats of young girls that read and look at magazines like Elle, Glamour, Fashion, Vogue, etc. The fashion models are but wisps of flesh much like survivors of Auschwitz with the fashion designers clothes hanging off of them. When the fashion mags can't find a skinny bitch they air brush the shit out of the model so badly that the poor girl looks like a circus side show attraction.

I thank the Goddess (Yes I'm a Witch) that Kate Upton is around. She shows women what a real woman should look like. Not fat, not skinny, but just right. I love her. I wish the media would take a lesson from her and see women aren't all skinny mini's. We have bodies that we all want to feel proud of. I'm not exactly Kate's weight - yet. But I'm working on it slowly because of health reasons and the fact that I want to be around on this earth for a while longer.

Day 13 And 14 July Blog Challenge

Day 13:

If you could choose, would you rather be rich or healthy?

I would love to be rich but being rich doesn't buy health. So in truth I would like to be healthy. I realize that rich people are just like anyone else. They over indulge, get sick and die like the rest of us. If you are healthy you can accomplish whatever you like within reason.

Day 14:

Tell us about your birthmarks, scars, tattoos, or piercings.

I don't have any birthmarks, tattoos, or piercings. I do have a few scars from past surgeries.

  • Back surgery, a 2 inch scar on my lower back. It was to widen the area on the bone that my nerves come out from the spinal cord.
  • 6 scars on my right shoulder from 2 arthroscopic surgeries for a rotator cuff tear and a 2 inch tear on my pectoralis major from the collar bone down. I also lost the bursa because it was too damaged to save. They're about a quarter of an inch long each. 2 in the front 2 on the top and 2 in the back on my shoulder.
  • 3 quarter inch scars on my upper abdominal area. I got them from arthroscopic surgery for my gall bladder and I had my appendix taken out at the same time.
  • One 8 inch fugly scar from knee replacement surgery on my right knee.
  • One 10 inch fugly scar from double knee replacement on my left knee. I have blogged about both knees, so if you feel ghoulish and want to know more, look for the past blogging entries I have on them.

Day 12 July Blog Challenge

Day 12:

What or who do you take  the most pictures of?

Lucy, she's my sweet baby girl. The youngest of my Boston puppies. She's smart as a whip, loving, a tease, a wise ass, a little beggar, ornery, and I love her to death.

I told her to keep her paws off the screen door. This is what she does.
 She's looking for squirrels.
Begging David for a piece of sausage.
She wants up on the couch. I said no. Her way of looking like an orphan so I'll feel sorry for her.
She's mad at me and won't pay attention. She does this when she can't get her way.
Looking at me through the front screen door. She's sitting on David's knee.
Watching a squirrel. Look at that profile.
