If you could offer a newborn child only one piece of advice what would it be?
It would be futile to give a newborn advice when it doesn't understand anything being said to it. If the Child were older, say 12 years old, then I would say learn good morals and values. This will keep you on the right road in life if you have morals and values.

But by the time they reach their teens they think they know everything !! Its a good point though- the first thing to tell a new born is to 'sleep' and to do it NOW !

By 12, too late. Those are good things to teach; but you have to start young. I remember reading personalities are formed by the time a child is 2 years old. By 12, some have had babies, been arrested, and gotten involved with some pretty nasty stuff.
