MY MINIONS

Monday

What a weekend! David received a large heavy box of grass last Friday, no not the kind you smoke, although I was hoping.

Anywho, the man plowed under, with his roto-tiller, all the grass that had died out because he neglected to water it while he was taking care of me the past few years. He then doled out about six bags of manure that he bought from Home Desperate, instead of going to the horsie stables down the street and getting it for free, the roses would have loved it too.

So after all that he laid out only three rows of grass. Little three inch pieces of grass into the soil. That was it! Not the whole box, just three lousy rows. He came in all dirty and smelly and naked. He had taken his clothes off at the front door. I screamed there was a nekked man running in my house and the puppies came barking from the media room and attacked him. Funny as shit, I kid you not.

Well, he took a long much-needed shower and I later threw his clothes into the washer to soak. I'm washing them right now. The smell from them was so intense. Whew!  He was totally wasted out. The man is so out of shape from not being able to do his workouts all this time that he collapsed into his recliner and watched TV for a while then fell asleep with Lucy on his legs.
While David was playing in the dirt I was cleaning and doing laundry, and then cleaning again when he tracked in mud and whatnot. I don't know if it was true, but one time he said I sounded almost like his mother when I ranted about all the tracking into the house with his dirty shoes. Oh, I was pissed.
Anywho, all that was over and done with for Sunday. I was looking for stuff on the web. I found out one of our favorite shows, The Strain had started its second season already in July and we missed it. Oh! The horror!! I also found out that we can catch up on the "in demand" section so all is not lost.
This morning I watered the grass and the other plants in the garden. ironed four blouses that needed it while I made some coffee, and now I'm taking it easy for a bit, blogging before I go start my exercises and walking on the treadmill. UGH!!!

I am not the workout type. I really hate it, but I will do it if prodded. It's either that or pain. The endorphins from exercising keeps me from having to take so much medication for pain. It does help, but it's sooooo much work. Then I'm so tired afterwards. It's all a pain in the ass but if it works I'll make the effort.

Friday Funny

A very cranky old woman was arrested for shoplifting at a grocery store. She gave everyone a hard time, from the store manager to the security guard to the arresting officer who took her away. She complained and criticized everything and everyone throughout the process.

When she appeared before the judge, the judge asked her what she had stolen from the store.

The lady defiantly replied, "Just a stupid can of peaches."

The judge then asked why she had done it.

She replied, "I was hungry and forgot to bring any cash to the store."

The judge asked how many peaches were in the can.

She replied in a nasty tone, "Nine! But why do you care about that?"

The judge answered patiently, "Well, ma'am because I'm going to give you nine days in jail -- one day for each peach."

As the judge was about to drop his gavel, the lady's long-suffering husband raised his hand slowly and asked if he might speak.

The judge said, "Yes sir, what do you have to add?"

The husband said meekly, "Your Honor, she also stole a can of peas."

Oh Crap! It's Monday Again!!

I would have blogged earlier this morning, but I overslept. This is the second time. It actually felt good too. It's now 11:13 a.m. and I feel so refreshed. Okay, enough about me.
Did anyone see the Fear The Walking Dead 90 minute opening of their season last night? I thought it was pretty damned good. Just enough to wet yer whistle of things to come on that show. It made me all giddy inside when the dead started walking and no one knew how to kill them. I thought it was just right for the opener. David stayed up to watch it past his bedtime of 8 p.m. (he gets up at 5 in the morning, y'all) even though we taped it on the DVR. He really didn't, care he had to get his Walking Dead fix.
Today is supposed to be a hot one. We are still in the double digits, but the humidity is what makes it outrageously hot here. The first day of school went off without much crying, and that was from the teachers. I'm guessing from all the cheering that went on when the buses came around, that all the noise was from parents. Right now it's so quiet in the neighborhood. It's really quite nice. I do love it when summer is almost over.

It's Friday

Yesterday I had to cut my blog short because of a violent thunderstorm that we had out here at around noon time. It really was bad. Our neighbors house got hit and so did a poll next to ours. When I cut off my computer we lost electricity in the neighborhood and then the puppies dun fucking lost their fuzzy little minds. I don't know why but when we lose power they know about it. Spunky started to howl and it was unnerving to say the least. It made the hairs on my neck stand up. Lucy and Pebbles both were huddling under my chair trying to see who could get the closest to me. My chair was vibrating because the puppies were shaking. Scared little dogs howling and hiding.

This morning at 07:00 we had a spritzer of rain for four seconds. David had none at work. It's still misting and the sun is trying to shine through the clouds. Parts west of Houston are getting rain right now. We should be getting some rain again later today, but I won't hold my breath on that one.

Tomorrow, I have some more tree limbs that are hanging for David to cut. They are brushing the roof and I really don't feel like hearing him bitch later about having to replace the roof after only a few years. He needs to get off his duff and take care of this problem now. He also owes me a car detailing and wash. Ever since he started using my Honda more often to run errands and stuff on the weekends, he has been messing up the interior, and the exterior looks like he drove it through the La Brea tar pits. I have tar splashes on the trunk lid. How in the fuck did he get that on there!

Yesterday I found chocolate candy smears on my drivers side upholstery and the central panel between the front seats had cola splatters. Like WTF!!! Also, the passenger side window has puppy nose prints all over and dog hair on the seats. I really wish he'd take the dogs out in his truck instead of my car. Shit dude! Mess your own vehicle up, not mine.

I'm sorry, I'm venting. But it bothers me when someone borrows my things and messes them up. Anywho, I did vent to my doctor about not feeling good and being depressed and all. He wants me to see my neurologist again. Something may be wrong and he want's to be sure. I REALY don't want to see another doctor until the year ends, if I can help it. I am so tired of everything right now I could cry.

I just started the second load of laundry. I still have to clean house. I also have to go through David's closet and get stuff ready for the Salvation Army tomorrow. There is so much clutter in this house. I need to declutter like nobody's biz around here. It's a mess. I also need to put the puppy toys in the washer with some bleach and soak them overnight. That's just EEWWW!  Nasty!

Well, these things won't be getting done by themselves. I will be blogging on Monday. Have a magickal weekend y'all.

YAY! Back From The Doc

Just got back from the doctor's office. It's now 12:30 and David just left to go back to work. I had blood drawn and I was poked and prodded and who knows what. I don't see anymore doctors for at least three more months. Thank the Goddess!
We are at EWX next to SAT

I did make it home before all hell broke loose. We have a mother of a thunderstorm about to hit us from the south. I've been hurting for two days expecting this shit to hit and now finally we have rain. The puppies are all sitting under my chair and desk shaking to death because of the thunder. Yeah, it's bad. Poor babies will be losing a pound of hair by the time this thing is over. Right now everything is vibrating including me from their shaking. I got up to shut the kitchen window and I had three little shadows on my heels.

Holy Shit!! That was a nasty lightning hit. My neighbors house across the street just got hit and the thunder was deafening. I'm closing this down for today.

Gotta Go

I thought I had a few minutes to blog, but I overslept and have to leave for my doctor's appointment. I will blog later this afternoon when I get back. Ciao!

Tuesday is Just Monday's Ugly Sister

Remember I said David knocked down all the wasp nests? Well, this morning I saw where those little fuckers that didn't get sprayed are building new ones. They are so diligent and quite fast at building too. So far I counted tree new nests. David will be busy this weekend again. Little bastards.
source
We also have a Yellow Garden Orb-Weaver in the back yard near David's work shed. I couldn't take a picture in time for this posting because my camera is recharging, so I borrowed one. Anywho, this rascal is pretty as hell and just as harmless. It has such a neat zig-zag stitching going up the center. I found out that's to keep birds from flying through their webs. I won't be nuking these guys from space.
The puppies have been acting crazy this morning. Fighting over toys and what-not. I've had to separate them for the remainder of the day. Lucy is under my desk, Spunky is in David's recliner and Pebbles aka Gator Bait is in the corner near the TV. I really don't know who started the fighting or why, but I put an end to it but quick like. Now they're just staring at each other, making faces.

David will most likely come home and ask why they are in "time out". Frankly, it's beyond me as to why they are fighting. The little shits were fine when I got up. They just started they're crap when I came back from getting the mail. They'll stay in "time out" until they can behave themselves.
Thursday I have another doctor's appointment. I'm getting so fucking tired of all this medical shit. I'm about ready to throw in the towel. My doctor took me off my happy pills that were helping me cope with all this and now I'm back in my depression mode. Nothing makes me happy. He's going to hear from me on this fucking shit come Thursday. I'm pissed off royal because I have no energy, nothing that helps me fight this crap. My temper is short with David and I have been living in our bedroom for the past week now because I don't want to be upset with him. My doctor will most likely send me to my psych. Just one more asshole to deal with.

Wasps, Weather and Zombies - Oh My

Hooooooo Boy! Things have been getting out of hand lately. We are getting overrun by red wasps and yellow jackets. No sooner that we spray them dead then new ones take their place and continue building. It's fucking mind blowing. David has made it into a weekend hobby of walking around plants and the house spraying and knocking down wasp nests that he finds. I've been stung several times now and let me say it's not something all that great to experience. The pain of the sting is more like being burned really bad. David says this is the worst it's ever been.

Some of you may have noticed that I didn't post much this past week. Also, that I stated in my last post that I was dropping weekends altogether. I have been having problems healthwise and when I start feeling better I will let y'all know when I will be posting more. I just don't seem to have the energy sometimes.

Right now the puppies are all sleeping. I sorta ran them ragged this morning playing outside. Spunky, the old man is barking in his sleep, probably dreaming of playing with the tether ball earlier. I really feel bad for him. He's totally blind now. I asked David if we could somehow look online for a doggy helmit for him so he doesn't get hurt when he runs into things. In a way it's so comical when it happens. He hasn't really hurt himself yet, but there is always the chance he will soon enough.

It was beautiful this morning. We are in something of what seems a transition in our weather again. We have nice cool mornings in the 70's and hot but not in the sevear low 90's temperature wise. We are also having spot showers. YES!! It rains for like five seconds and then it's over and gone. I call it pre-fall weather. The mornings get cool and crisp and evenings hot and balmy. I can't wait for my favorite Autumn weather to be here.
Oh!  A spinoff of The Walking Dead will be starting on Sunday night. Fear The Walking Dead will take everyone through the beginning of the Zombie Apocolypse and will eventually bring everyone up to TWD speed. It should be interesting watching for all us TWD watchers out there. I got David hooked on TWD during it's second season and he's been the ultimate Dead fan since. On our down time during the weekends and sometimes when he's home for lunch we share cool websites that show Zombie Apocolypse stuff like weapons, vehicles, and gear. Seems we find something new every week.

Well I have minds to warp and values to twist. No, not the puppies.

Weekends Off

Starting today, I will be taking my weekends off. That's right. No more posting on the weekends. I have so much to do during the week now, that by Saturday I'm totally wasted. So for a while I'm keeping my weekends for me.

Woman's Health

Today I am posting this infographic from Oscar Insurance. They are new out there and are focusing on incorporating technology into healthcare so that everyone gets the best possible care in order to manage their health. If you are in the United States and want to learn more, you can check out their New York and New Jersey health insurance plans.

Health care is a big problem for everyone in the United States, especially for women. Oscar created their infographic in order to continue the CDC and Prevention's National Girlfriends Day which is officially on August 1st. Now I know it's way past the 1st of the month, but if you really think about it, we women should think about this more often with helping each other to get our checkups on time and to stay healthy and active. So today take a good look at this infographic. It's important to know these things as a woman.

Out of Order

Yesterday, I had blood drawn and a doctor's appointment. I have another appointment on Thursday and an MRI for that afternoon. A busy week for me indeed. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday I'll be here posting on my blog. I'm cutting this short today because I'm quite tired. I feel bad that I'm not blogging today so I'll leave you with a thought.

It's Freakin Friday Y'all

Yes, another week has come and will be gone soon enough. I finally got and installed Windows 10 yesterday afternoon. It's not so bad, but it's still early yet. David has had W-10 for about a week now and he likes it. I'm still skeptical.

I did notice that David still has Internet Exploder on his computer. It fascinates me that he would keep something so antiquated like that on his desktop. Thank the Goddess he doesn't use it but still, WHY keep it around.

So I decided to stay up a bit late last night and copy something that I saw online a few weeks ago. I copied this picture above that I found on the internet and set it up on his desktop just as it is in the picture. When he got up this morning and turned on his computer, I heard him chuckle then he yelled at me for doing that to his computer. I thought it was funny. Really.
