Tuesday - The Ugly One

It's 64 degrees outside this morning. YEAH, 64 fucking cool degrees, People! The bad thing is that it will be hot today. San Antonio says 91, but I say in the mid to high 80's. You see this is a small town. We don't have big blowhards running around warming up the air out here.
Anywho, I am enjoying my coffee right now with the windows open. The wind is blowing a light breeze just enough to make the wind chimes stir. It's pretty nice today so far. Yesterday I busted my ass cleaning and doing laundry because I didn't feel like it over the weekend. So today I don't have a thing to do. I was going to just stay in bed and watch TV all morning, but I can't do that. It wears on my mind that I'm doing nothing when I can be doing something. I just have to be busy or go insane.
David has a birthday coming up this Sunday and we will most likely make a day of it. He loves to go to IHop for breakfast on his B-day so IHop it is. Then we will be visiting friends if he feels like it. He has no family to speak of except his daughter. She will most likely come down from Austin to visit. I love when she comes to see us.
Sunday night also starts the new season of The Walking Dead. David is so psyched for that. He has gone completely nuts with this zombie craze. He has gotten completely into the online Walking Dead comic book. He even reads it when he comes home for lunch. I won't say every waking moment is spent on that online comic book, but it's close. Thank the Goddess that his office has limited online web access. Otherwise, he would never get shit done.
This has been one fucking boring post. I'm sorry, but this is a quiet town, nothing really interesting or big happens here. So I'm going to repot some house plants right now and pick up and shell some pecans that fell from the trees in the yard. I might make a pecan pie tomorrow and a couple of banana bread loaves. Who knows.

It's Friday

Yesterday I had to cut my blog short because of a violent thunderstorm that we had out here at around noon time. It really was bad. Our neighbors house got hit and so did a poll next to ours. When I cut off my computer we lost electricity in the neighborhood and then the puppies dun fucking lost their fuzzy little minds. I don't know why but when we lose power they know about it. Spunky started to howl and it was unnerving to say the least. It made the hairs on my neck stand up. Lucy and Pebbles both were huddling under my chair trying to see who could get the closest to me. My chair was vibrating because the puppies were shaking. Scared little dogs howling and hiding.

This morning at 07:00 we had a spritzer of rain for four seconds. David had none at work. It's still misting and the sun is trying to shine through the clouds. Parts west of Houston are getting rain right now. We should be getting some rain again later today, but I won't hold my breath on that one.

Tomorrow, I have some more tree limbs that are hanging for David to cut. They are brushing the roof and I really don't feel like hearing him bitch later about having to replace the roof after only a few years. He needs to get off his duff and take care of this problem now. He also owes me a car detailing and wash. Ever since he started using my Honda more often to run errands and stuff on the weekends, he has been messing up the interior, and the exterior looks like he drove it through the La Brea tar pits. I have tar splashes on the trunk lid. How in the fuck did he get that on there!

Yesterday I found chocolate candy smears on my drivers side upholstery and the central panel between the front seats had cola splatters. Like WTF!!! Also, the passenger side window has puppy nose prints all over and dog hair on the seats. I really wish he'd take the dogs out in his truck instead of my car. Shit dude! Mess your own vehicle up, not mine.

I'm sorry, I'm venting. But it bothers me when someone borrows my things and messes them up. Anywho, I did vent to my doctor about not feeling good and being depressed and all. He wants me to see my neurologist again. Something may be wrong and he want's to be sure. I REALY don't want to see another doctor until the year ends, if I can help it. I am so tired of everything right now I could cry.

I just started the second load of laundry. I still have to clean house. I also have to go through David's closet and get stuff ready for the Salvation Army tomorrow. There is so much clutter in this house. I need to declutter like nobody's biz around here. It's a mess. I also need to put the puppy toys in the washer with some bleach and soak them overnight. That's just EEWWW!  Nasty!

Well, these things won't be getting done by themselves. I will be blogging on Monday. Have a magickal weekend y'all.

Almost Abby Normal

Well, I'm almost back to normal today. Just a bit weak still but normal as usual. I had to go see my family doctor because this flu was kicking my ass HARD. He gave me a prescription for some stuff to help fight it. I let my immune system fall and he said I need to take better care of myself because I'm in my 60's now. Stop putting others first all the time. In other words, he gave me a big scolding.
I was able to eat my first real meal like chicken soup, other than toast and tea on Saturday but nothing big like meat and potatoes. I'm going to make hamburger steaks with mashed potatoes and green beans tonight for David. So I'm hoping to eat a bit of that and see if I can take it.

I was able to do three loads of laundry including stripping the bed and changing the linens. It was a big undertaking, but hey, it got done. We gave the puppies a bath Sunday. They hate getting a bath, but are all for it when they finally get it done. In fact, Lucy tends to go back into the bathroom to tell the other puppies that daddy is going to drown them.
I washed their blankets. Four loads of them. They have blankets because they hate the conventional dog beds. We bought them nice expensive $60 dog beds when they were younger and came home from work one day to find pieces of foam from the insides, all over the house. We were still finding pieces of foam for a week. Spunky was hiding it from us. Now that they have blankets they can move them into a pile, nest, or whatever their silly hearts desire. The blankets only cost $3 to $5 apiece. We buy a new one when we see one of the old ones have become ratty looking from being dragged around the house. To me it's a much better idea than buying new beds every year.
David will be home all week for the Christmas shutdown at his office. He won't be back at work until the 2nd of January. So I'll have to get a list of shit I need done around here. I have a stinking feeling he'll most likely spend his time in front of the TV all day if I don't give him things to keep him busy. I really hate Trash TV. It's all he watches during the day. It's very noisy around here when he's home because the TV blares reality crap all day long. I like it quiet. I'm usually cleaning house or on the internet, and the puppies sleep most of the day when I'm alone.

Speaking of internet, I need to look for one more Christmas present today. This is the last day to send things in the mail and that means internet shopping too. So I'll turn y'all lose now.

The Crazy Witch's Daybook

My mood: I feel vivacious today. David went back to work, yes, yes he did. I already cleaned house and started laundry. I feel liberated from the tyranny of Maury, Jerry and stupid movies all day long that he watched.

You wouldn't believe me if I told you the stupid shit that was on TV last week and this week that I saw him watching. One was "Dude, Where's My Car?" I know that it's a cult film but shit almighty. David is not a stupid man and yet he loves to watch trashy shit on the TV. So I am very greatfull  he is gone for the rest of the week until the weekend. Then it will be another round of Trash TV. Shit! Just kill me now.

What my silly ass is up to right now: I was looking for funny books to order for my Christmas present. My step daughter and David both gave me very generous Amazon credit cards. I was trolling the books lists and came upon this, "Fifty Shades of Chicken: A Parody in a Cookbook". What is so damned funny is the video when you scroll down to the book's description. You've just got to play that video.
http://www.amazon.com/Fifty-Shades-Chicken-Parody-Cookbook/dp/0385345224/ref=lp_86_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1357054656&sr=1-9
It's way too funny.

Crazy shit I need to do today: Other than Amazon shopping, cleaning house has been a sport this morning. I'm walking around without my walker now and have graduated to my cane. But with all the crap that I've been having to carry and move it's been a bit of a sport trying to stay upright and not fall over and crack a hole in the floor with my fat ass. That's right I'm not using the cane. I'm walking without any help except the walls, chairs and other strategically set out items to keep me from falling. I walk like an off balanced old lady of 90. I swear!

Hey, before you scream at my lame ass for being so stupid, my arms are full of things I'm putting away. David didn't so much as touch a single dust rag, broom, vacuum or mop the whole week and two days he was home. The dust bunnies are getting ready for their next family reunion and I'm constantly picking up all the toys the puppies keep dragging out to play with. Only I can put a stop to the chaos and madness around here! Where's my cape? I must have put it in the last wash load. Crap! I need to lighten up on the pain killers. I'm seeing crazy shit again.
