Patriarchal religions are always tough on women. They usually start off brutal and then moderate to tough so women mistakenly think progress has been made.

now you know why I'm a pagan and worship a goddess...she says us women don't have to do jackshit if we don't want to..and can do anything that we want too.

This is exactly how Trump works. He makes outrageous statements about how things will be, then moderates to a harsh stance.
