I'm just posting something small today. I woke up to see that the undisputed Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin, had passed away. Her voice and music were iconic. There will never be anyone better. Rest in peace your majesty.

my fave 'retha song (along with chain of fools). man, another touchstone gone from our lives.
Wednesday they were down playing her illness, so I was startled to hear that she passed.
People of my generation are passing fast. It seems like every few days we lose another.
Aretha Franklin - a great lady. Lived before the time of integration - knew what the hardship of race in America was.
I will miss her.
