Weird Rants

I was checking my stats this morning, do you know that 55% of my viewers use Firefox and 35% still use Internet Exploder? Wild, huh? Then there are the weird things they put in for the Word Searches. What the shit is a  "boo monstres"??? I mean some of the stuff I see on my stats make me laugh harder than what I see in the blogs I read.

FREEZING Pictures, Images and Photos
Now on to the cold stuff.  Who the hell left the door to Canada opened!??  I really want to know!  It's colder than a Witc.....  nope not that .... well diggers ass is what I meant. I mean to tell you the puppies won't go outside unless I drag them out with me. That means I have to don a coat and 2 pairs of gloves and wool hat and my mukluks just to go outside.  Then I have to lie to them by grabbing my car keys and sweetly say "let's go for a ride." And it's only 46 outside. I really suffer from the cold in my middle age.

I have to say Thank You to those who will be attending my funeral possibly this weekend. Yes, the Tablet ,,,  read this weeks posts to catch up, I'll wait ... will be here by Friday and if not, with my luck maybe on Saturday when David will be home. Damned Fed-Ex, Can't you take the Saturday off like UPS??? Would it kill you to be off just one freaking day?

Sidetracked there. Oh yes. BlakkDuchess will deliver my eulogy and make sure I have something to do in the afterlife besides twiddling my thumbs. She has graciously offered to make sure that the Tablet is buried with me. Someone please keep tabs on her and make sure I get that tablet in my casket. On another side note, would someone make sure David has yellow roses for me at the funeral. You know, being Texas and all.

For Linda. I know what you mean about the Meniere's. I was diagnosed with Labyrinthitis three years ago. It's very similar with the vertigo and the nystagmus symptoms. One thing about Labyrinthitis is that it starts with a blinding ear ache in my left ear and then the tinnitus starts and then I have dizzy spells for about 20 to 24 hours after it all starts. Then it goes away. And it's like it never happened.

It started about yesterday morning around 7AM until this morning. I am fine now until my next episode. They usually come on with stress. Ugh!!! When have I never had stress in my life ahahahahaa. So that is one of the many plagues in my life, my dear friend. I have learned to live with it, that and the Fibro.

To all my other dear sweet minions. Your comments do not go unnoticed. I read them when I can and have to laugh at all the funny remarks. Y'all are entertaining as hell!!

Tis The Season To Warm The Puppies

I woke up late this morning and found two little shivering puppy dogs in bed with me. I couldn't even turn over to see who it was. They were secured, slightly under my back. Lucy had her legs under me and her little head on my neck. Pebbles was nearly under the lumbar area of my back.

It was quite impossible to turn over to see who was breathing hot and heavy in my ear. I had to get up out of bed. The Shiver Sisters were still lying there worming their way under the blankets. Lazy bums! So I left them there, went to get a shower to warm up my muscles and came back to get some clothes on and they were still snoring in bed. I got some coffee and toast. watched CNN for a half hour then came to turn on the computer to write a post and all I heard was loud snoring coming from the bedroom down the hall. Tis the season for puppies in bed with me again I guess.

Ok, as you know I'm back. Stinking Fibro made me dizzy in line at the Post Office yesterday and I almost passed out. I hate when that happens. David is usually with me and I can leave and sit in the car if it gets bad. It bothers him when I get my migraines and my fainting spells. His mom died of brain cancer. I already had an MRI and I'm okay in the head ahahahahahahahhaaa.  Never mind ... let's move on.

As for the e-zine I am going to take it slow and work things out. I have the MS Publisher coming from Amazon.com, but it won't be here til almost Christmas time. But the Wacom Intuos4 Medium Pen Tablet will be here in a week. I'm antsy as shit about that thing. Also wondering how I will be hiding it from David. When he does find out, I'll be dead meat. SO, who's coming to my funeral ahahahahahahhaaaa.

Update To This Mornings Post

Girlfriends, I think we better hold off on this e-zine for a while longer and let me do some more exploring on this idea. There is so much to think about. Linda made a comment on my last post and she is so right. May the Goddess bless her for adding her insight. I think this has been a pipe dream that I have wanted so much to happen. So for now let's just sit on this idea and think long and hard as to what we would give to this magazine. Like time, energy, blood, yes your blood, sweat and tears.

On a lighter note I did order a few things from Amazon.com today that I have really wanted. One was MS Publisher 2010 ( thanks for the heads up Traveler and SpiritPhoenix)and the other was a Wacom Intuos4 Medium Pen Tablet (Academic Version) and I bought a couple of books too just for grins. I've wanted the Tablet for a long time and I did a lot of consumer checking on this and others like it. So I consider this an early Yule present to myself.

Small Dilemma

I have a small dilemma my dear girlfriends. I found out that there are two very different but great software programs suited for the e-zine WE want to start. Notice the emphasis on the we part. Well Adobe has In-Design which is about $500 and a very high learning curve to it. And Microsoft has Publisher that is for much less than In-Design and a lower learning curve but it takes a lot more work to publish an e-zine with it.

Now I am all for either one of these programs because I can afford either one. I just want your input.
* Has anyone of you ever used either one of these programs?
* Which one would you choose to work with and why?
* If we take this program (Witches E-zine that is)on, I would like to keep on going with it.
* What the hell am I doing here and why am I in this hand basket?

We need to call this magazine something really cool. Something that will get the attention of all Pagans and Witches out there. That includes the younger set, teenagers, who aren't quite sure of his or her path. I want to get them away from the "All Witches are Satanist's" mind set.

And last but not least  .....  I am asking for your help. We won't get paid for this e-zine until we can get someone in charge of advertising. Hell it might just turn into a labor of love for us to just help other uninformed Pagans out there. I kinda like that idea but I know it won't float, so be it.

We will need an Editor in Chief to oversee all material that gets put into this mag. And someone with great artistic skills for artwork or I'll just try to sweet talk an artist I have in mind. I might be able to get her to donate artwork if possible. But if all else fails I'll be willing to buy the artwork from her.

Girlfriends, I really want this e-zine SOOOOOooo damned much to work. I want to get the word out that we are normal people not weirdos like most Christians portray us to be. So I am asking formally for your help if you want to give it ... for free. Notice that for free part there? Please look at the questions near the top and look into what you think might help us all get this thing started.
Thank You.

Wow !!!

Just a quick note:  I was reading some of the online advice to starting up an e-zine for us. This is really going to take a lot of work!!  Also plenty of money like in the three zero to four zero range. I don't know if I really want to do this because I can't afford it.

Plus I'll have to pay everyone to write stuff for it, buy art work, buy a domain name and buy space online to publish it. Not to mention Legal Eagles and Designers to help with the hard stuff.
I want to do it but at what cost? I'll have to talk this over with David and see what he says first before I take on this venture.

Don't worry ... the idea isn't dead yet.
Anyone know CPR???  Haahahahahaa!!

Just A Note Before I Go Slightly Mad

I've been up most of the night reading and researching and I'm nowhere finished. Researching to start a magazine or e-zine is a shit load of work. It will mean even more work IF (I was going to say when)  I decide to start one for us. So this will take some time and great deliberation on my part.

Yule is fast approaching and I haven't even started to decorate yet. David and I have opted to not give each other gifts as usual. Hell, we have each other and everything we could want, so why bother. I kinda like that cause we used to feel bad if the other didn't like the gift. We just enjoy the season and buy for his daughter and hubby and the fuzzy kids.

Speaking of Christmas ...  how do you like the music. I know but it's like me, misguided and weird. I just had to go beyond the norm because people were screaming that they are so tired of the traditional crap that gets overly done by today's music artists. I have to agree on that one. So I found some stuff I liked and now you are stuck with it. neener neener ;P

Well my dear minions I have loads of reading to catch up on and decorating to do. Have a great weekend.

Update And Thinking ... Again.

Update: Lucy is fine.  She was never really hurt bad with the mouse trap incident. She never got the cheese either. Silly little shit. Right now she is lying in her favorite spot behind me in the chair I'm sitting in. At least I know she's not getting into trouble. No more mice caught even though I still have the traps set.

Me, I'm doing fine. Just trying to take each day as it comes along. I can handle the pain somewhat. It's just the tiredness that gets to me. I feel like I'm being dragged into a hole all the time. Someone get me a freaking ladder PLEASE!!!

I seem to be thinking much more clearer now. It's so very strange to me. I was always in a deep fog. It must have been the Fibro doing it to me because since I've been on Cymbalta and Lyrica I'm sleeping deeply and clearly thinking again. No more foggy brain shit. David says he needs to watch what he says around me now because I'm more alert. That makes my witty comebacks on his remarks much more sharp to the touch. ouch!
_________________________________________________________

Okay, I'm going to plead for something. *getting down on my knees ... ouch ... ouch!!*

I want to know if anyone of my minions know of a great Pagan or Witch magazine online or in paper form. Preferably in paper form.  Nothing stupid that portrays us as people who dress in black robes, black eye makeup, long scraggly hair and carrying a stupid staff with a skull on the top of it. We are nothing like that. We are normal people.

I want a magazine besides Llewellyn, Witch's Voice, or Pagan News That portrays Pagans and Witches as normal human beings, everyday housewives, single parents, hard working normal intelligent people with regular jobs that has a Pagan religion that they are proud of.

A magazine that isn't just a few pages to it but thick and meaty like Family Circle. I want a magazine that talks about politics, our problems in life, exercise tips, beauty tips with herbs, some spells, tips for rituals, recipes for all sorts of stuff and of coarse food recipes for OUR holidays.  I want a magazine that isn't afraid to tell it like it is and sets the record straight about things that irk the shit out of me like linking us to cults. And no Fluffy Bunny crap either.

Please is there anything out there like that?

Quick Update

So far mouse body count is 2. Got both of them last night in the laundry room/ pantry. I reset the trap and then went to sleep. There were no more snaps in the night.

David checked it before leaving for work this morning. As he was getting his morning snack together, he forgot to close the pantry. There was a loud snap and a scared black and white Boston Terrorist jumped into bed with me.

David was laughing in the kitchen and I asked him if we caught another mouse. He said a humongous black and white one named Lucy. I looked at Lucy who was shaking next to me what she did and she put her head on my stomach and looked at me like she was saying "wasn't me ma. No pictures, no witnesses, no prints, no proof."

She was scared and when David came into the bedroom laughing she was looking at him like she didn't do anything. David explained the situation to me and I laughed. She's such a Nosy Nellie. Don't think she'll be springing anymore traps any time soon.
