For the students that read my blog. If you think Mythology is boring, just remember this. Cerberus, the three-headed hellhound of Hades that guarded the gates of the Underworld to prevent the dead from leaving, comes from the Greek word kerberos. Kerberos was changed to Latin Cerberus. Kerberos means spotted.
Yeah, The Lord of the dead, Hades, named his dog spot.
